The Delhi Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (DBOCWWB) was established on 02nd September, 2002 under section 18(1) of 'The Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Services) Act 1996'. It has been reconstituted after regular intervals and the present board has been constituted on 18th May, 2020.
The Delhi Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, is committed to the safety, health and welfare of construction workers employed in the construction works of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.With this in mind, the board facilitates registration of construction workers, assesses the compliance of safety measures at construction sites and provides several financial benefits/schemes to construction workers, such as for the education of children of construction workers, maternity Benefits, assistance on marriage, free bus pass, grant for toolkit, skill enhancement training, old age pension, disability and death benefits etc.
